"Galeb i ja" is an officially approved manufacturer of fibreglass
boat and other fibreglass items for ships or plants under the supervision
of the Croatian Register of Shipping. From the mid-80's the first fibreglass
boats, named Galeb 6.75, became one of the most popular products of Croatian
small-boat shipbuilding industry, due to their superb maritime characteristics
and excellent stability.
The design of the Gull 745 prototype was inspired by the above mentioned
boat and its completion was possible due to many years of practical and
theoretical experience as well as the independent implementation of all
work in fibreglass boat building, modelling, mould making and equipment
assembly.
The lateral streamline glides and spoiler have been inserted near the
stem-bulb of the boat and the metal stern, thus,enabling sailing with
semi-displacement characteristics. The LWL/BWL ratio guarantees great
stability and excellent maritime characteristics. The boat retained the
same classic lines as its forerunner, but, at the same time, it has approximately
50% more serviceable space and longer water-line, which significantly
improves its previously described characteristics.
Selecting various engine capacities (35 - 112 KW) a cruising speed of
10-20 knots can be achieved.
Gull 745 obtained the CRS Certification No. 01-005466/013772, the Inspection
Certificate (Module Aa, Option 1) according to the Directive 94/25/EZ
with amendments.
