The shipbuilding workshop Rajko Marušić Brist
was founded in 1966 as a handicraft workshop for the building, reconstruction
and repair of boats and vessels. The founder is the ship-builder Rajko Marušić
and in that time only wooden boats were made. In 1968 he started the production
of fibreglass boats "PASARA 435" and "PASARA 570". Until
1971, the workshop produced both wooden and fibreglass boats and from 1971
it started producing only fibreglass boats. Even though they were made of
completely different materials, the fibreglass boats retained the traditional
classic form and stability of wooden boats. Since then we have been widening
the range of boat types so that now our production programme includes 8
different types: byboat 250, river boat, pasara 440, pasara 470, pasara
580, marušić 21, pilotina 750 and pilotina 950.
Our boats "PASARA 580" and "PASARA 470", whose production
rights were sold to the former factory "Jugoplastika" from Split,
must be singled out among our products since they were the most sought-after
models on the market at that time. In 1990 the handicraft workshop was transformed
into a limited liability company, MARUŠIĆ d.o.o., registered for the building,
reconstruction and repair of boats and vessels. We were the first private
company which started the production of fibreglass boats in Croatia. Since
the start of production we have obtained all the necessary permits and certificates
(both for production facilities and final products) issued by the Croatian
Register of Shipping in Split.
