| The company "Kvarner" d.o.o. was founded
in 1990 as the continuation of the shipbuilding trade of Ivan Krstiniæ who
has been in the shipbuilding industry for more than 25 years. The basic
business activity of the company is the building of small ships, and supplementary
activities (retail store for boat paint, varnish and tools as well as accounting
services).
Ivan Krstiniæ started business with the production and maintenance of
wooden boats. After 1990 the situation on the market began to change dramatically,
and the company "Kvarner" d.o.o. was established and produced
polyester resin boats. The first such boat was produced in 1993. Until
1999 eight boats of the types "Nautic 800" and "Nautic
860" were produced in addition to the current overhaul, maintenance
and installation of engines and equipment. The company invests its profits
into research and development.
Today Kvarner d.o.o. can offer three products to both the Croatian and European markets:
the Kvarner 26, Kvarner 26R and Kvarner 22 which are manufactured in the production
plant now three times larger than at the start of business, the first intended as motor
yacht the second for fishing and/or for the transport of passengers or divers, and the
third, Kvarner 22, as weekend pleasure and fishing boat.
