| Prinz Adriatic d.d. from Oroslavje was established
in 2001 and is registered for the building and repair of boats. The Luxembourg
holding company PRINZ has created one of the largest greenfield investments
in Croatia. The production programme includes four models: Prinz 33, Prinz
36, Prinz 40 and the newest Prinz 54 Coupé. The latest technological achievements
and materials of superior quality are used in production. The result is,
therefore, high quality vessels that are recognised on international markets
where almost 90% of production is sold.
Due to tough emission regulations in Eastern Europe (Croatia and Slovakia)
the decision was made some three years ago to apply vacuum infusion methods
using polyester resin for the major components such as the hull and deck.
As well as the environmental benefits of meeting emissions regulations
to DIN standards in factory areas and ventilation exhaust; an additional
major benefit of vacuum infusion is significant reduction of weight and
a stronger and more homogenous laminate structure. In 2005 it was decided
to change all production for the PRINZ range to vacuum infusion using
only epoxy resin. Reinforcing the hull and deck of all types of PRINZ
motoryachts, with an aramide such as Kevlar or Twaron, PRINZ YACHTS today
offers not only a much stronger motoryacht structure, but also weight
reduction of approximately 40%.
PRINZ YACHTS appointed QUARTOSTILE s.r.l., to develop the styling and
preliminary 3D modelling of the PRINZ 54'Coupé. A very strong collaboration
developed between QUARTOSTILE and the naval architects and engineers from
PRINZ YACHTS in Belgium, Slovakia and Croatia was established and this
team is now developing solutions for other European boat builders as well.
