AD BOATS LTD.

AD Boats d.o.o. was founded in 2002 as an offshoot of AD Plastik Ltd. (www.adplastik. hr). AD Plastik d.o.o. is a leading manufacturer of exterior and interior components for important European car producers. Extensive experience in the automotive industry created a basis for the development of an innovative concept prepared by the prestigious Slovenian design studio "J&J Design" - Salona 45.
Since January 2003, AD Boats Ltd. has been operating as an autonomous company, based in Solin, Croatia. As a capital intensive activity, yacht building has required significant investment in capacity building, as well as team training. In the subsequent years, AD Boats has increased production of the Salona 45 and introduced two new boats: the Salona 40 in 2003, the Salona 37 in 2005 and Salona 42 in 2006.
AD Boats currently produces the Salona line of sailboats and the Maestral line of inflatable boats. The company has set up a strong dealer network worldwide. 80% of the company's annual production is being exported.

SALONA
All the boats in the Salona range are designed by award winning naval architects - J&J Design. The CE class "A" category certificate (unlimited Ocean voyages) is issued by Germanischer Lloyd. J&J's designs are modern fast cruisers with ample performance to make them successful racing boats. The result is pure joy of sailing either in cruising or racing mode. Safety, seaworthiness, durability, speed and comfort are the main characteristics of the Salona sailboat line.

Due to these characteristics, the Salona 37 has won the 2007 European Yacht of the Year Award in the category of 10-12 meters sailing boats. She was selected among the 5 finalist in her category by 11 senior journalists drawn from top European yachting magazines: BadNyt - Denmark, Bateaux - France, Batnytt - Sweden, Fare Vela - Italy, Seilas -Norway, Swissboat Yachting - Switzerland, Waterkampioen - Netherlands, Yacht - Greece, Yachting World - UK, Yacht Revue - Austria, Yate - Spain.
The winners were announced during the Düsseldorf Boat Show (January 20-28, 2007).
The Salona 37 has also won the Sailing World Magazine's Boat of the Year Award 2007 for Best Cruiser/Racer. After thorough inspections and test sails of the 19 nominated boats, an independent panel of experts selected the Salona 37 as the winner of the Cruiser/ Racer category.
