THE STORY OF SUCCESS

The Salona has been manufacturing performance cruisers since 2002, following the spirit of yachtsmen looking for reliable, well-built sailing boats that would match racing performance of the best cruiser racers on the market with their comfortable cruising abilities. Since the end of 2007, the AD Boats have gradually become an integral part of the Prevent group, founded in 1952 as the manufacturer of working garment and protective clothing. Today Prevent group, as a multinational company, provides services in more than 20 countries worldwide.

In only seven years the yard has introduced seven new models, ranging from 34 to 45 feet in length. All models are of outstanding quality combined with high performance and recognizable joy of cruising. Shortly after establishing the manufacture of Salona 45, the production of Salona 40 and Salona 37 has been launched, the latter being the first model to achieve the prestigious Boat of the year award. In 2007 Salona 42 was introduced while Salona 34 followed in 2008. As the result of the wide and valuable experience, Salona 44 appears in October 2009 as the one of the most recognizable models among the new boats on the market. The Salona 41 is the newest yacht from our yard combining all the latest innovations implemented by our company in recent years, giving us a clear lead on our competition.

Global market has easily recognized Salona, with both Salona international dealer's and service networks operating almost all over the world, too. Great achievements of the yard have not been achieved accidentally, as the Ancient-long Croatian shipbuilding tradition enables Salona to acquire know-how in design, project management and skilled labor force. Therefore, technological level of boat building in Salona yard is a logical consequence. It includes the application of advanced composite materials such as epoxy based vinyl ester resins and in-house, interior computer guided production being implemented in the modern facilities in the vicinity of Split, Croatia. The total production area consists of 6.000 square meters of space with three production lines and the water testing just some hundred meters off the yard with further investments in production processes to be made in 2011.
