The Fast boats primary task is surveillance at sea and search and rescue. It is built according to the regulations of the Croatian Register of Shipping (CRS) for boats for commercial purposes and according to Germanischer Lloyd (GL) rules. It is made of seawater resistant aluminium alloy (AlMg4,5Mn), longitudinally framed, of welded construction. Damage stability requirements are met.
Two four-stroke diesel engines, turbocharged, electrically started, mechanically regulated RPM, maximal engine brake power 2 x 305 kW, driving 5-bladed propellers through reversible V-type gearboxes, enable a service speed of 26 knots.
Propulsion plant is remotely controlled from a wheelhouse control console.
The wheelhouse (with al- round visibility) and accommodation spaces are airconditioned. Electrical power is provided by batteries (24V DC) and from a diesel generator (220V, 50Hz, 8kW). The boat is equipped with radio equipment (1 VHF/DSC, 1 VHF, 2 VHF portable, 1 AIS transponder and 1 NAVTEX). The navigation system consists of: radar, GPS, magnetic compass, echo sounder/speed log.
Accommodation is provided for 2 crew members and 12 passengers/survivors. In addition, there are 2 single-berth cabins and 1 auxiliary berth. The open working deck area in the stern is equipped with portside davits. Maximum deck load is 3 t.
Fuel tanks capacity enables a range of 400 nautical miles (NM), at 23 knots. Storage allows for 7 days of self-sufficiency.
This boat can also be used as an oil spill control boat or fire fighting boat, by adding specific equipment to the stern working deck.

The Search and Rescue Craft's primary task is to search for, rescue and retrieve survivors, as well as sea surveillance. The craft is capable of linking to all types of vessel in order to retrieve patients, the delivery of devices and equipment, and the embarkation of maritime authorities.

The vessel is built according to the Croatian Register of Shipping Rules, and classified:

The hull is made of steel, and the superstructure of sea resistant aluminium alloy, welded construction. Damage stability requirements are also met. Service speed of 24 knots is achieved by a propulsion system consisting of two 4-stroke diesel engines, each having MCR 610 kW, reversible gearboxes, and fixed-pitch 5-bladed propellers.
Control consoles are in the wheelhouse and on the flying bridge.
Electric resources are: 24V DC batteries and 220V, 50Hz diesel generator. Communication and navigation systems includes: VHF radiotelephone, radar, GPS, autopilot, compass, echosounder and speed/log.
Accommodation is provided for 4 crew and 10 survivors with resuscitation equipment sets. Fuel tank capacities enable 300 NM range at 20 knots. Provision storage ensures self-sufficiency for 7 days. Four of these craft have been contracted for building: One has already been built, two are at the outfitting stage and the fourth will follow.
