The company Marservis d.o.o. was established in 1995 and its headquarters is located in Kaštelir. Founder and CEO of the company is Luciano Beg. The main activity of the company has been the provision of marina services, boat servicing and maintenance. The provision of these services has continued until the present day through PJ Servis located within Luka Novigrad. In 2002 a one year concept for the production of polyester boats came into being with an initial simple boat model Adria 501, followed by company's own fisherman model named Picaro 20.

Picaro is today available in three basic models holding HRB and CE certificates:
- Picaro 20 WA, open fisherman primarily designed for fishing, as well as family vacations. The boat is powered by an outboard engine
- Picaro 20 SD, fisherman with a smaller 2-person cabin and a large bow sundeck, engine: marine inboard
- Picaro 20 OB, fisherman with smaller 2-person cabin and a large bow sundeck, engine: outboard

The next important milestone in the company's production history was the conclusion of a contract with the Swiss company Mw-Line, as well as the production of two models of environmentally friendly water-taxis:
- Aquabus 850T, an ecological water-taxi designed for use in protected waters; the boat is equipped with solar panels and powered by solar energy, through an electric motor
- Aquabus 1050 T, larger than its predecessor; it is also designed for use in protected waters and also uses solar energy

Due the expansion of our production programme, the need for larger production facilities has arisen. As a result, the production facility was built in 2007 in the business district Kaštelir-Labinci.
Today the company produces some 15 boats annually. Marservis d.o.o. Kaštelir employs fifteen workers.
