Topic: Maritime
The Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Božidar Kalmeta, signed 21 agreements with directors of county port authorities and municipal heads in Zadar on Tuesday for the modernization of county ports along the Croatian Adriatic coast.
Of the 21 agreements, worth HRK 82 million, 14 concern ferry ports, while the rest are ports of importance to the local economy.

Kalmeta said that the purpose of the agreements was to improve transport services between the islands and the mainland, adding that another group of such agreements would be signed by the end of this year or at the beginning of the next.
Kalmeta said that this government was annually investing HRK 1.25 billion in the Adriatic islands.
